She holds dual degrees from Marquette University, with a B.A. in Conflict Resolution and a B.S. in Criminal Law. Abigail also expanded her expertise internationally, studying Cultural Approaches to Conflict at the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies at Mahidol University in Thailand.
