Michele Walker

Michele Walker is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who has been working with adolescents and teens across settings throughout her life. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from North Carolina Central University in 2007 and began her career as a middle school teacher where she observed the social, developmental, and behavioral challenges her students experienced and the support students, parents, and teachers could use to improve relationships and quality of life.

This inspired her to complete her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Carolina Central University in 2013. Michele has provided individual, family, and couples outpatient therapy for all ages with various diagnoses including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, parental and marital stressors, and issues related to LGBTQIA+ identity across her 10 years in mental health. Michele is trained and has experience with providing CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed, as well as other modalities.

Michele is most passionate about helping people realize their potential, become their most authentic self, and have healthy relationships. She believes everyone has what they need, she just helps them access it.

Michele was born and raised in North Carolina, is married, has two teenagers, and a long-hair chihuahua mix. She enjoys reading, going to pretty places, and watching Korean dramas.
