Jacob Hoyt
MSW, LCSWA
Jacob obtained his Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from North Carolina State University in 2021. Afterwards, he took 2 years to serve as a College Adviser at Southern Wayne High School in Dudley, NC, where he worked with graduating high school seniors before the transition to adulthood. He returned to school to earn his Master of Social Work (MSW) from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024. Jacob is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA).
Jacob is very passionate about teen mental health. He enjoys empowering individuals to reach their full potential, meeting them where they are at on a personal level. His clinical work draws on multiple modalities to help patients understand the ‘why’ behind symptoms, educating individuals and parents to promote positive changes in family functioning and well-being. He also identifies as queer and as a racial minority, emphasizing equity and inclusion while serving all individuals, regardless of any barriers.
In his free time, Jacob loves playing video games, listening to music, swimming, learning languages, and spending time with his friends.
